Good News

Richard was able to find a professor to do research with. And not just any professor, but the department chair of the Manufacturing Engineering department. He is going to be doing research for Boeing so that is pretty cool. I am just glad we don't have to go into debt (yet) to pay for his school.
Since Shelly is the only one that knows about my blog and reads it, here you go Shel...

Man I am really bad at this!

So my sister has inspired me to actually do this. I started the blog this summer, but got my set back because I did not know what I was doing. Obviously I still don't know! Anyway, we moved to Atlanta in July so that Richard could start Grad School at Georgia Tech in Mechanical Engineering. I am currently working as a Lead Pre-K teacher in Smyrna, which is northwest of Atlanta.

It is interesting actually living in Downtown of a major city. It is a first for both of us and we are not quite used to the narrow roads and one-way streets. But we are slowly getting used to it. We are a few miles from Richard's sister Sarah and her family and we live in the same building as his cousin Holly and Cris. We live about three hours from his parents in South Carolina and 4 hours from my brother Carl. It is so nice to be around family again!!!

Both of us stay busy with school and work. Richard is in the process of trying to find a Professor to do research for, so that his schooling will be paid for. I am trying to access the creative part of my brain so that I can keep these preK kids busy everyday. Who knew that there was really all day Pre-K. A bad idea, I'm telling you right now. Other than that, we are just hanging in there are getting used to our fourth state in 2 years of marriage.

Man I am really bad at this!
